Branhams Aussagen über die Trinität

Das Folgende ist eine kleine Auswahl von Zitaten von William Branham bezüglich der Trinität. Die Quelle ist table.branham.org. (Die Hervorhebungen sind von mir.)

Predigt "God's Preparation" vom 1. April 1954:

"Now, Father, take the Word, and may the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the trinity, comes, take the Word of God, and break It out to the people, and put It in every heart where it has need, where God would send It. For we ask it in Jesus’ Name. Amen."

Predigt "Questions And Answers" vom 15. Mai 1954:

"First thing, this will straighten out you on your 'trinity,' Father, Son, Holy Spirit. [Brother Branham illustrates with three items—Ed.] Now, in the first place, not one place in the Bible was trinity ever mentioned. You find it and show it to me. There’s no such a thing. It’s Catholic error, and you Protestants bow to it."

Predigt "Hebrews, Chapter Two #3" vom 28. August 1957:

"Now let me explain this again, so you be sure. God is not three Gods. The trinity of God is One. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, doesn't mean that there is three different Gods. If it is, we would be heathen. That’s the reason the Jews can't understand. Never was it taught in the Bible. Now, it's taught in the Catholic church, absolutely, that's where the triune baptism come from."

Predigt "The Queen Of The South" vom 8. Februar 1958:

"So One that has been among us, died and rose again, is glorified in the Presence of God tonight, comes back in the form of the third Person of the trinity, the Holy Spirit, and dwells in us, and moves, and proves Himself to be the same Lord Jesus."

Predigt "Door To The Heart" vom 16. März 1958:

"Let Him open your eyes. He's the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity here tonight to grease up your eyes with God's salve: open your eyes."

Predigt "Palmerworm, Locust, Cankerworm, Caterpillar" vom 23. August 1959:

"You say, 'The blessed holy trinity.' Find me the word 'trinity' anywhere in the pages of God’s Bible. It's a man-made scheme, an old dirty church rag wrapped around, to take the place of the sap Line of God's Holy Spirit. No such a thing. There's no such a thing. You find it and come to me. You're duty bound to do it, as a Christian, if you find it. It's not in God's Holy Writings. And the 'Father, Son, and Holy Ghost' is hatched out of hell, there's no such a thing as three Gods."

Predigt "Adoption #2" vom 18. Mai 1960:

"And I know that I'm talking in here even to trinitarian ministers. And, my brethren, I do not say this - I do not say this to hurt. I'm a Trinitarian, too, I believe in the trinity, the three attributes of God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost), but not three Gods. See? I believe there be three attributes, absolutely, I do that with all my heart, 'Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,' but they are not three Gods."

Predigt "That Day On Calvary" vom 25. September 1960:

"Where do you get that triune, pagan doctrine? Out of a catechism, not out of the Bible. The word 'trinity' is not even mentioned in the whole Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. There's no such a thing. There is no such a thing as a trinitarian god. He's God, God alone, one God. Has always been one God. He served three offices: He served once as the Father, under Moses. He served once in flesh, as a Son, Jesus. He serves now as the Holy Ghost. But it's one God. One God, not with three names. Three offices, three titles in one Name: Jesus Christ."

Predigt "Abraham" vom 11. Februar 1961:

" 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; and the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us.' See that? Then that same Word, Christ, the promise, the Holy Ghost; you call It the third Person of the trinity, that's fine, that's what It is, Christ, the Holy Ghost in you. He was in a Pillar of Fire once. Then He come was made flesh. Now, He’s come in your flesh."
